Q & A with Hurricane Helms
By Matt Duda from Wcw.com
CLEVELAND - Hurricane Helms holds enormous potential as one of WCW's most
talented and able young superstars. WCW.com caught up with him Sunday at
Invasion to find out his plans for the near future in WCW.
WCW.com: Do you want to pursue the Cruiserweight Championship or move your
career in another direction?
Helms: Yeah. The WCW Cruiserweight Title, I'd like to get that back. But I'd
like to go after the (Federation) Light Heavyweight title too.
WCW.com: Now why is that?
Helms: Just to have that (Federation) logo on a belt! Maybe somewhere down the
line a tag team partner or something like that.WCW.com: Do you have a partner in
mind?
Helms: Somebody bigger than me. In WCW when I was a part of 3-Count I was like
the biggest guy on the team. I don't think I'm big enough to be the big man on a
team.
WCW.com: You've already changed your name. Can we expect other changes coming
soon?
Helms: I've still got some moves that I never got a chance to display in WCW;
Stuff that nobody's ever seen before.
WCW.com: High-flying stuff?
Helms: One of them is, then there's some other things. That's why I started
getting popular toward the end (of the old WCW) because I was always coming up
with new stuff.
WCW.com: You've worked with the Hardy Boyz in the past. Have you gotten a chance
to train with them at all since you've been here?
Helms: Not really.
WCW.com: Have you been training with anybody in particular?
Helms: I haven't really had the opportunity. I've had some mental training and
having discussions with some of the guys. That's a pretty big part of it.
WCW.com: Is that the toughest thing about moving to the Federation, the mental
aspect?
Helms: I don't know if it's tough it's just very important to have the mindset
right. It's a real close locker room and I like that a lot. Everybody's really
friendly and you can pretty much talk to people.
