Jeff Hardy Speaks On Hardyz Breakup,
High-Flying, His Future, & More
Story By Matthew
Boone(August 19, 2001)
The following is an interview re-cap
transcribed by myself with Jeff Hardy from his appearance on the "Pro
Wrestling Weekly" radio show.
- Jeff Hardy was asked if he is concerned with the frequent high-spots he
takes in the ring. Hardy replied by saying he is crazy nervous when he does
his aerial tactics, but is lucky to have never been seriously injured. He
said he is going to do his best to live up to the aerial expectations and
reputation the Hardy name has built. Although, lately the Hardyz have done
their best to use more ring psychology when performing.
- Jeff was asked how it feels to go from being a dark-match jobber in the
WWF straight to the top. Hardy said it feels great, as would for anyone in
the same situation. However he feels himself and Matt have a long way to go
before reaching the top, but feel somewhat mainstream now.
- Hardy was then asked what the WWF has planned for him. He responded with
the fact that there is many routes to go with the Matt-Lita love storyline.
He mentioned there is a large possibility of the Hardyz breaking up and
going into singles competition. He doesn't see it happening anytime soon,
but believes both himself and his brother should have successful runs in
singles competition if that situation were to occur.
